STAYCITY APARTHOTEL – YORK.
Serviced Apartments or Aparthotels as they are sometimes referred to, are becoming more popular
in the UK. Staycity is one of the leading serviced apartment operators in Europe with over 1,000 apartments in 8 European cities. Zeal Projects is appointed as Project Manager, Quantity Surveyor & Interior designer by Coal Pension Properties to manage this £16m, 6 storey, 197 bedroom new build project which is located adjacent to the Barbican entertainment centre and the famous Roman City Will in the centre of York. Work commenced on site in Jan 2015 and opening is scheduled for June 2016.
4 STAR HOTEL – HAYES.
HOGS.
The Hotel Golf Society has recently been set up and comprises 40+ hospitality related individual members who are in some way involved with the hotel industry. The inaugural HOGS golf day was held at Burhill Golf Club on 20th April & we were blessed with excellent weather. The course was in great condition & we received quality hospitality from Burhill GC.
Congratulations go to the winning team, which included Jerry Browne, Kevin Eakin & Matt Walton (pictured) and we are looking forward to the next HOGS day at Mill Ride GC, Ascot on the 1st June 2015. There are a handful of membership places still available for 2015 & golfers who are involved in the development or operation of hotels and who are interested in joining should contact tim@zealprojects.com
Our client, Ballymore is developing High Point Village which comprises large modern mixed use scheme located adjacent to Hayes Station with easy access to Heathrow & Paddington. The development includes 600 apartments, a 140 bedroom Staycity Aparthotel, 1,500 sq m of shops & restaurants, sophisticated leisure facilities and a 120 bed 4 star hotel. Zeal Projects have been appointed as Project Manager & Quantity Surveyor for the 4 star hotel and this is due to complete in Dec 2015.
BEYONDER APARTHOTEL – ABERDEEN.
CL Serviced Apartments, backed by Oaktree Capital
Management merged with SACO and within 48 hours
also launched the Beyonder Aparthotel brand at the
IHIF conference in Berlin earlier this year. The new
portfolio of 1,645 apartments will comprise the 700
apartments operated by SACO and the pipeline of
945 new Beyonder Apartments coming on line from
December 2015. Zeal Projects are pleased to confirm their appointment as Project Manager & Quantity Surveyor for this £11.8m, 96 room Beyonder Aparthotel in Aberdeen. This is one of two Beyonder Apartment developments in Aberdeen; the other is likely to commence construction in June 2015.
We are presently on site & opening is scheduled for the first one in Q1 2016.
