Sadly, Tuesday 27^th Sept was the last official HOGS 2016 golf day, which was held at Beaconsfield Golf Club. All 36 HOGS members & guests enjoyed this classic Harry Colt designed course, which was extremely well presented and in excellent condition. The clubhouse & lunch provided were also excellent & thanks to Beaconsfield GC for your excellent hospitality throughout the day.

As with all HOGS events its about the members & their guests enjoying quality golf facilities and combining business conversation with shared tales of taking 2 to get out of the bunker, those unnecessary 3 putts & topped drives – we all do it! Even professionals can shank it – Brooks Koepka in the Ryder Cup – 01/10/16!

Congratulations go to all the winners particularly the winning team (below) who scored 86 points and comprised; Andrew Weisz (Quest Apartment Hotels), Alastair Hockley (Christie & Co) & Christo Du Plessis (Skyline Worldwide Serviced Apartments)

Congratulations also go to Husain Sandertji (EQ Group) for executing a fine-drilled shot kept under the wind at the Par 3 7^th & winning nearest the pin. Martin Smyth (Coutts & Co) managed to win the members claret jug with 37 points & on a count back with Mike Ellis (Simpson Associates) and Jan-Willem den Ridder (Den Ridder Group)

This was the last official HOGS event for 2016 & sadness prevailed as we all left Beaconsfield Golf Club although I am sure we will be back at some stage in the future.

On the back of general discussions with & demand from HOGS members we are looking at the possibility of organizing a “winter warmer” golf event possibly in November. Several options are being considered & we will let you know if we manage to secure a suitable date, venue & at realistic price!
